Flies is a file manager for macOS, made by @arwinneil. It runs on your Mac, and your files stay there.
What Flies collects
Unless you turn it off under Send Usage Data in the menu bar, Flies sends one anonymous report each time it launches: the app version, macOS version, a random install ID, your settings with every path removed, and any errors from the last run. These reports never contain file names, paths or file contents. They go to PostHog (EU) and are used only to fix bugs and decide what to build next.
This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics.
Cloud drives
If you connect a cloud drive, Flies accesses its files only to show and manage them for you. Sign-in tokens are stored only on your Mac, and Flies talks to the provider directly. Your cloud data is never sent to us or anyone else, never used for advertising, and never used to train AI models. You can disconnect in Settings at any time.
For Google Drive, Flies’ use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
